Milton Glaser said that “all art is an abstraction” (I know others have said that, but I heard him say it, and I think he is worth quoting). So, my art is the kind of abstraction where you still know what it is—no melting clocks or third breasts. My drawings are way too tight, meaning that I can get hung up on all of the lines, but my paintings are a little more freely done. Someone told me that they got a sense of calm and peace looking at my paintings. Ok. That’s nice. You decide.
